The Burning Crusade Classic

World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade Classic

This was a popular MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game) developed and published by Blizzard Entertainment. It was a faithful recreation of the original expansion for World of Warcraft, called The Burning Crusade, which was released in 2007.

New Playable Races

The Burning Crusade Classic took players back to the shattered world of Outland, a realm of demons, floating islands, and ancient ruins. Players choose to continue their journey with existing characters or create new ones. The expansion introduced two new playable races: the Blood Elves for the Horde, and the Draenei for the Alliance.

Level Cap Increase

One of the significant features of The Burning Crusade Classic was the addition of the new level cap of 70, providing players with new zones to explore, dungeons to conquer, and challenging raids to face. The introduction of flying mounts also revolutionized the gameplay experience, allowing players to traverse the skies of Outland and access hard-to-reach places.

New Playable Classes

Players could also choose to venture into the two new playable classes introduced in The Burning Crusade: the Paladin for the Horde, and the Shaman for the Alliance. These classes were previously faction-exclusive but became available to both factions in this expansion.

Player vs. Player

The PvP (Player versus Player) aspect of the game was enhanced with the introduction of Arena matches, providing players with small-scale, competitive battles in designated arenas.

Reliving the Past

Burning Crusade Classic was a nostalgia-filled experience for long-time players, as it allowed them to relive the excitement of exploring Outland and facing iconic foes like Illidan Stormrage. The game also attracted new players who wanted to experience the classic World of Warcraft content in its original form.

Continued Development

Blizzard maintains regular updates and events for the Classic version of the game to keep the community engaged and to provide new challenges for both seasoned and new players. The Burning Crusade version of the Classic game was migrated to Wrath of the Lich King Classic and no longer exists as a standalone version of the game.

Overall, World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade Classic was a beloved and enduring chapter in the history of online gaming, offering a unique and memorable journey for players in the world of Azeroth.
